Junior Sericulture Inspector
Junior Sericulture Inspector (कनिष्ठ रेशम निरीक्षक) is a field level Officer, generally under the department of Gram Udyog Board. It is a state government post.

(1). Eligiblity Criteria
B. Sc. Agriculture
The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or B. Sc. Ag. is a 4-year degree programme.
Students who have degree of B. Sc. Ag., are eligible for this post.
Why B. Sc. Agriculture?
The B. Sc. Agriculture is a semester based degree programme. There are total 8 semesters, and each semester is of 6 months. Each semester consists entomology.
Entomology is a major subject in B. Sc. Ag., while sericulture (silk farming) is a branch of entomology.
The all basic topics from sericulture are covered through available semesters.
B. Sc. (including biology)
B. Sc. Science is a no-semester degree programme. Generally, it is a 3-year degree programme.
It doesn’t require any competition exam to get into a common B. Sc. Degree Programme.
Science, particularly biology, is associated with the study of different living organism.
Study of insects
This also includes the study of the biology of silkworm.

Each JSI is assigned with a fix number of target for each year.

4. Distribution of mulberry plants.

2.4 Filed Visit
Each JSO is given 4 – 10 Villages. According to daily schedule, a JSO has to visit the field.

Acording to 7th grade pay..
1. Pay scale is 2,400 – 2,800.
2. Starting salary is 26,000+ INR.
After certain period, an JSO is promoted to the post of Senior Sericulture Officer
